A tragic road accident at Nkonya Bumbula in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region has claimed two lives, leaving several others injured.
According to a report from the Ghana National Fire Service, the crash involved a 50-seater passenger bus travelling from Accra to Salaga.
The vehicle is believed to have overturned after a suspected tyre burst while the driver was negotiating a sharp curve at high speed.
The impact of the crash left several passengers trapped in the wreckage, triggering a swift emergency response.
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service arrived at the scene promptly and worked to rescue the victims and provide first aid assistance.
The injured passengers were later handed over to the Ambulance Service and transported to the Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital for further medical care.
Two people were confirmed dead, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Fire service personnel later cleared the wreckage to restore normal traffic flow in the area.
