Police have arrested the manager and a security guard of a hotel in Nkawkaw following the mysterious deaths of a driver and his mate.
The deceased have been identified as Emmanuel Ayisi, 37, a driver, and Emmanuel Dankyi, his mate. The two reportedly checked into Elsie Hotel after travelling from Donkorkrom.
According to police sources, the men arrived in Nkawkaw late in the day and decided to spend the night at the hotel before continuing their journey. They were later found unresponsive in their room.
The incident was reported to the police, who visited the scene and launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
The bodies have since been conveyed to the Holy Family Hospital Mortuary in Nkawkaw for preservation and autopsy.
As part of ongoing investigations, police have arrested the hotel manager and a security guard to assist with inquiries.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death, with more details expected as the case unfolds.
