A woman and her husband in Bimbilla have reportedly fled their home after it was allegedly vandalised by local youths over accusations of witchcraft.

Fusheini Eliasu, the couple’s son, confirmed the incident to Citi News, adding that he is currently unaware of his parents’ whereabouts.

“I do not know where they are at the moment,” he said.

He noted that the attack has been reported to the police and claimed he knows the identities of those responsible.

The motive behind the allegations remains unclear, but similar incidents linked to witchcraft accusations have occasionally occurred in parts of the Northern Region.

Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and hold those responsible accountable.
