Solomon Jabari Extends Start-Up Capital Support to NDC Supporters at Kokoben

Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency NDC Chairman hopeful, Solomon Jabari, has extended his start-up capital support initiative to card-bearing supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Kokoben, as part of efforts to empower party members and help them establish or expand sustainable businesses.

The initiative, which is aimed at improving the livelihoods of grassroots supporters, was held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Atwima Twedie, with beneficiaries receiving financial support to invest in various businesses and income-generating activities.

Speaking after the programme at Kokoben, Mr Jabari said the initiative was designed to address what he described as the “I haven’t gotten anything” syndrome among party supporters.

According to him, the programme is intended to give beneficiaries the means to become economically independent rather than continually waiting for support from party leaders.

He disclosed that he had also liaised with a bank to enable beneficiaries to access soft loans at an affordable interest rate of 15% over a six-month period.

The loans, he explained, would range from GH¢2,000 to GH¢20,000, depending on the needs of beneficiaries and the nature of their businesses.

Mr Jabari said the initiative formed part of his broader vision to improve livelihoods in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency and strengthen the relationship between the party’s leadership and its grassroots supporters.

“My vision is that by this time next year, Atwima Kwanwoma will be one of the best constituencies in the Ashanti Region,” he stated.

He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the support and invest the money wisely to ensure that the initiative produces sustainable results.

Mr Jabari further called on beneficiaries to remain united and make good use of the opportunities available to them, stressing that those who successfully utilise the support could return for further assistance when necessary.

He explained that the initiative, which started at Atwima Twedie, would not be limited to the area but would be extended to other communities and eventually the branch level across the constituency.

“We want to take it to the branch level so that everybody can get something to do,” he said.

As part of his broader economic empowerment plans, Mr Jabari also disclosed that he had imported more than 600 tricycles, including Pragya vehicles, to support farmers and other residents with transportation and commercial activities.

He described Atwima Kwanwoma as one of the biggest constituencies in the area and said the various interventions were aimed at creating opportunities for residents while strengthening the grassroots base of the NDC.

Beneficiaries commend Jabari

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Solomon Jabari for the support, with some saying the initiative had brought smiles to people who had previously struggled to secure financial assistance to start or expand their businesses.

Some beneficiaries described Mr Jabari as a “father for all”, praising his efforts to support party members and residents regardless of their circumstances.

They expressed confidence in his ability to lead the constituency’s NDC and appealed to delegates to support his bid to become the next NDC Chairman for the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.

The beneficiaries said the initiative had demonstrated that practical support at the grassroots level could help party members become self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
