The Senegalese Football Federation has strongly rejected the decision to strip the country of its Africa Cup of Nations title, describing the ruling as “unfair, unprecedented, and unacceptable.”
In an official statement, the federation said the decision undermines African football and threatens the integrity of the game across the continent.
“To defend its rights and the interests of Senegalese football, the Federation will, as soon as possible, initiate an appeal procedure before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne,” the statement confirmed.
The FSF further emphasized its commitment to integrity and sporting justice, assuring fans that it will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
The latest response sets the stage for a high-stakes legal showdown following CAF’s controversial ruling to award the title to Morocco after declaring Senegal to have forfeited the final.
