Police to Deploy Not Less Than 3,000 Officers for NPP Ashanti Regional Elections – Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh
NPP Ashanti Regional Election Committee member Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh says the Police have assured the committee of adequate security to ensure peaceful and orderly polls.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the New Patriotic Party’s Ashanti Regional Election Committee of a deployment of not less than 3,000 police officers to provide security during the party’s upcoming regional elections.
Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh, a member of the Ashanti Regional Election Committee, disclosed this in an interview on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show with Kwame Tanko on Lawson TV/Radio.
He said the committee has engaged both the Electoral Commission (EC) and the Ghana Police Service as part of preparations to ensure a peaceful and orderly election.
Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh explained that the election will be conducted through a walk-in voting system, with the Ashanti Region divided into four areas and four voting centres established for the exercise.
He said voting is expected to end by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
According to him, the regional election committee is also working to resolve all outstanding issues ahead of the polls and was scheduled to meet all aspirants to address their concerns.
He said the committee is doing its best to manage the various issues surrounding the election and expressed confidence that the necessary arrangements are in place.
Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh expressed confidence that the necessary measures are being put in place and said he believes the elections will be peaceful and smooth on Saturday.
