NPP Ashanti Regional Elections Will Be Peaceful and Smooth – Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh
Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh says 3,000 police officers will be deployed, with four voting centres established to ensure peaceful and orderly NPP Ashanti Regional elections.

A member of the Ashanti Regional Election Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh, has expressed confidence that the party’s upcoming Ashanti Regional elections will be peaceful and well-organised.
Speaking in an interview on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show with Kwame Tanko on Lawson TV/Radio, Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh discussed preparations for the regional elections and measures being put in place to ensure a smooth voting process.
He acknowledged that it is difficult to have a political setting without what he described as “Machiavellianism,” noting that individuals often use certain strategies because they believe those approaches will help them achieve their objectives.
He advised aspirants and other stakeholders to remain observant, study how the election process is unfolding and carefully plan their strategies rather than rushing into actions.
According to him, the Ashanti Regional Election Committee is doing its best to manage all issues surrounding the elections.
He disclosed that the committee has engaged the Electoral Commission (EC) and the Ghana Police Service and briefed them on its plans for the election.
Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh said the Police have assured the committee that not less than 3,000 officers will be deployed to help maintain peace and ensure sanity during the elections.
He explained that the election will be conducted through a walk-in voting system, with four voting centres established across the Ashanti Region.
The region has been divided into four areas to facilitate the voting process, with voting expected to end by 3:00 p.m.
He further disclosed that the election committee was scheduled to meet all aspirants today to address and resolve outstanding issues ahead of the polls.
Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Ayeh expressed confidence that the necessary measures are being put in place and said he believes the elections will be peaceful and smooth on Saturday.
