Otumfuo Engages US Chamber of Commerce on Investment and Trade Opportunities for Ghana

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has held a high-level meeting with officials and business leaders of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., to explore investment and trade opportunities for Asanteman and Ghana.
The meeting, held on Monday, August 31, brought together representatives from the U.S. business community, diplomats, investors and members of the Asantehene’s delegation.
Discussions focused on strengthening economic ties and identifying investment opportunities that could attract businesses and capital into Asanteman while supporting Ghana’s broader trade and economic development agenda.
The engagement forms part of Otumfuo’s wider efforts to build strategic partnerships that can promote development and create economic opportunities for the Asante Kingdom and Ghana.
Among those who attended were Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, Victor Smith; Kendra Gaither and Guevera Yao of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
Other participants included representatives from RIFE International, ABA Consulting, 50 Ventures, Cargill, Peak Global Partners and Areva Pharmaceuticals.
The Asantehene was accompanied by a delegation including former Ghanaian Ambassador to the U.S. Amb. Kobby Koomson, Ernest Sarhene, Head of Protocol to the Asantehene; Charles Sekyere; Dr Andy Asamoah, CEO of A&C Mall; and Kofi Badu, Chief of Staff at Manhyia Palace.
The meeting underscores the growing importance of international partnerships and public-private collaboration in advancing investment, trade and development opportunities for Ghana.
