Okomfo Anokye Community Bank Hands Over Multi-Million-Cedi Community Centre to Wiamoase
Modern facility with 1,000-seat capacity expected to boost community events and development in Wiamoase

Okomfo Anokye Community Bank has officially handed over a newly constructed ultra-modern community centre worth millions of cedis to the people of Wiamoase, the hometown of the bank’s headquarters.
The facility, which has a seating capacity of about 1,000 people, is equipped with modern washrooms, a security post, office space, ceiling fans, lighting systems, tiled flooring, and a fully cemented compound.
The centre is designed in the bank’s traditional yellow and green colours.
The handing-over ceremony brought together traditional leaders, officials of the bank, assembly members, religious leaders, and residents of Wiamoase.
Speaking to Lawson News, the bank’s Board Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Obeng, said ownership of the facility has been fully transferred to the community.
According to him, the bank will later provide chairs and other equipment to enhance the use of the centre.
The Chief Executive Officer of Komfo Anokye Community Bank PLC, Paul Kwabena Oduro, called on the government to review and reduce taxes imposed on the banking sector, saying it would enable community banks to undertake more developmental projects in their operational areas.
Receiving the facility on behalf of the community, the Chief of Wiamoase, Nana Boakye Yiadom, expressed gratitude to the bank and assured management that the people of the town would take proper care of the centre.
