A 42-year-old man, Bismark Yaw Sarfo Danso, was killed during a suspected robbery at his residence in Asonkore SSNIT, Obuasi, in the early hours of Saturday, December 13.

Police report that the attack occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. when three armed men allegedly stormed the house while the family slept. According to the deceased’s wife, Comfort Mensah, the assailants forcibly entered the home, attacked her husband, and fled with cash, a laptop, and other personal belongings.

As part of investigations, the Obuasi Police Command has arrested the deceased’s younger brother to assist in establishing the circumstances surrounding the murder. The body has been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy, while police continue efforts to identify and apprehend the remaining perpetrators.

The incident has heightened fear among residents, prompting calls for increased police patrols and improved security in the Asonkore SSNIT community. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the home invasion and murder to come forward to support the ongoing investigation.
