Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Berima Kese I, Nyankyerenease Nkosohene and Chief Executive Officer of the Sharmo Group of Companies, has launched a new social intervention initiative aimed at empowering the youth and supporting vulnerable members of society.

The association, known as Sharmor Youth for Development, is designed to assist unemployed youth, discourage drug abuse and social vices, and provide relief to the vulnerable, including widows and the aged.

The initiative is strictly non-political and focuses on community development and social responsibility.

Speaking on the objectives of the association, Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Berima Kese I explained that the group will operate on a town-by-town basis, encouraging community members to form local branches.

Once a group is mobilised in any area, the leadership of the association will visit to provide guidance and support.

As part of its Christmas outreach, the association plans to distribute Christmas gifts to about 5,000 people, further underscoring its commitment to spreading hope and care during the festive season.

Recognition for Community Service

In recognition of his consistent support for media-led community engagement, Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Berima Kese I received a splendid citation from Maame Frimpomaa Korankye and the Lawson Afisem Team for his outstanding contributions to the Lawson Afisem programme.

Touching Gesture to Widows

In a touching show of compassion, Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Berima Kese I extended personal support to widows who had thronged Lawson Media to register for the annual Christmas gifts donated by Dr. Lawson Kyei Manu.

Moved by the sight of the aged widows, Nana Adu Gyamfi Kumanin Berima Kese I expressed concern that some of them might not even have transport fare to return home. He therefore offered GH¢100 each to the widows as transport support.

He urged them not to speak ill of him but rather to remember him in prayer, so that God would bless him with more resources to continue supporting them every year.
