MTN Ghana Reaffirms Commitment to Financial Inclusion at MoMo Awards in Kumasi

MTN Ghana’s General Manager for Regional Sales (North), Mr. Nii Adotey Mingle, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion and economic empowerment across the country.

Speaking at the MTN MoMo Awards ceremony held at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi, Mr. Mingle highlighted MTN’s focus on improving financial literacy, expanding digital payment solutions, and supporting sustainable economic growth.

He expressed optimism about Ghana’s rapidly evolving financial ecosystem, pointing to innovations such as digital lending, virtual assets, and open banking as key drivers of inclusion.

Mr. Mingle also commended government initiatives aimed at supporting startups and modernising revenue collection through AI-driven systems, describing them as critical to national development.

The ceremony honoured partners who demonstrated excellence in performance, customer service, and innovation. Mr. Mingle encouraged all ecosystem players to maintain high standards, noting that their dedication continues to raise the bar within the digital finance space. He thanked partners for their role in strengthening Ghana’s digital economy.

Reiterating MTN’s commitment to collaboration, Mr. Mingle said the company remains open to working with partners who bring innovative ideas to the platform. He called for collective efforts to build a future where individuals and businesses alike can thrive within a robust digital economy.

In the Agents Category, Jerry B. Enterprise emerged as the Overall Winner for the Ashanti Region, receiving a cash prize of GH¢20,000.
