Renowned Ghanaian actress and TV personality Nana Ama McBrown has opened up about her recent absence from the spotlight, revealing that she has undergone a fifth surgery on her arm.
In a candid live session on social media, McBrown explained that she had been enduring persistent pain but pushed through her television commitments until the discomfort became unbearable.
“You may have noticed that my arms didn’t look right. If you’ve watched recent episodes of McBrown’s Kitchen, you’d have seen me struggling. Those were my last recordings—I had to rely heavily on painkillers to get through,” she said.
The actress described her ongoing battle with pain as both physically and emotionally exhausting, noting that only those who have experienced similar trauma can fully grasp what she’s endured.
“Unless you’ve had a fracture or gone through multiple surgeries like mine, you can’t understand the pain I’ve lived with,” she shared.
Following medical advice, McBrown has decided to take a step back from her professional duties to focus on her recovery. She stressed that her doctors have advised her to rest and allow her body the time it needs to heal properly.
“My doctors and fans alike have urged me to slow down and take care of myself. So I’m staying home, focusing on recovery, and giving myself the time I need,” she said.
She also extended heartfelt thanks to her fans for their continued love and support, asking for prayers as she embarks on her healing journey.
