FIFA has officially opened the media accreditation process for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ for media representatives and non-rights holders (NRHs).

As with previous World Cup tournaments, FIFA has allocated a fixed number of accreditations to its Member Associations for written press and photographers. Ghana has been granted a total of 12 slots—10 for written press and two for photographers.

FIFA has clarified that this allocation does not include broadcasters such as radio and television stations, nor does it apply to holders of broadcast or non-broadcast World Cup rights.

Journalists who are non-rights holders may apply independently through the FIFA Media Hub. Photographers are also encouraged to use the platform to monitor and apply for any additional accreditation opportunities that may become available.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
