President John Dramani Mahama is set to receive the official Bawku Mediation Report on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at a ceremony scheduled for the Jubilee House in Accra.

The presentation marks a significant step in the country’s broader effort to secure lasting peace and stability in Bawku and its neighboring communities.

The report stems from extensive mediation work led by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who has been at the forefront of a national reconciliation initiative aimed at resolving the long-standing conflicts in the area.

Thursday’s ceremony will underscore the united resolve of state agencies, traditional rulers, religious groups, and development partners to strengthen social unity within the region.

Slated for 10:00 a.m., the event will bring together high-level government officials, traditional authorities, members of the mediation committee, and other distinguished guests.

Expected attendees include the National Peace Council, Christian Council, Office of the National Chief Imam, Catholic Secretariat, UNDP, the British High Commission, as well as regional leaders such as the Upper East and North East Regional Ministers, the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs, and National Security representatives.
