Kojo Bonsu Woos Chinese Investors
Ambassador Kojo Bonsu calls for stronger media collaboration to attract Chinese investment into Ghana’s key growth sectors.
- Kojo Bonsu urged Chinese media to partner with the Ghana Embassy to promote trade and investment opportunities.
- He identified infrastructure, clean energy, IT, AI, healthcare, minerals processing, and agriculture as priority sectors.
- The appeal was made during a press soirée in Beijing ahead of Ghana’s 69th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
He noted that Ghana offers numerous prospects across key sectors and that greater media attention from China would help attract more Chinese investors to the West African nation.
According to Ambassador Bonsu, the Ghana Embassy in Beijing remains open to collaboration with Chinese journalists who are interested in positively highlighting Ghana’s development agenda.
“The Chinese media should partner with the Ghana Embassy to promote trade and investment opportunities in both our sister countries for mutual growth,” he stated.
He identified priority areas for investment, including infrastructure, clean energy, Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), healthcare, minerals processing, and agriculture, describing them as sectors with significant growth potential.
The Ambassador made these remarks during a recent press soirée hosted by the Ghana Embassy in Beijing, which brought together representatives from several leading Chinese media organisations.
The event was also used to promote Ghana’s upcoming 69th Independence Anniversary celebrations and to spotlight business opportunities available to foreign investors.
Mr. Bonsu, a former Mayor of Kumasi, described Ghana as one of the safest and most business-friendly destinations in Africa. He encouraged Chinese entrepreneurs to take advantage of the country’s stable political environment and democratic governance system.
“Ghana is committed to strengthening ties with China. We are a stable democracy with a business-friendly environment and a rich cultural heritage,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to deepening bilateral relations between the two countries.
