Three men in Kasoa have been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing their daughters after the Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Directorate reported the matter to the Ghana Police Service.

According to officials, the victims disclosed the abuse to the Girl-Child and Guidance & Counselling coordinators, raising alarm over what authorities describe as a disturbing rise in child abuse cases within the municipality.

Police swiftly apprehended the suspects, who are currently assisting with ongoing investigations.

The Municipal Education Directorate expressed deep concern that children’s rights continue to be violated in the area and urged stronger collaboration among institutions to safeguard vulnerable minors.

The directorate also highlighted a major gap in support systems, noting that although CHRAJ operates 16 regional and 182 district offices nationwide, it has no office in Awutu Senya East—leaving many victims without easy access to essential services and protection.
