Businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye has firmly denied widespread social media allegations of infidelity, insisting that his former wife never caught him cheating during their marriage.

Speaking on The Delay Show hosted by Deloris Frimpong Manso, he dismissed claims linking him to extramarital affairs, describing them as false and misleading.

“My wife never caught me sleeping with another woman. For the 10 years that I was married, every single day I slept at home,” he said.

He clarified that the only times he was away were due to international work trips.

“The day I didn’t sleep at home was when I had travelled to other countries to work, but if I’m in Ghana, I slept at home. My wife never caught me cheating, and I don’t have any children out of wedlock,” he added.

“Allegations are untrue”

Mr Quaye also dismissed viral claims circulating on social media involving alleged relationships with multiple women.

“Those are untrue,” he said, noting that both he and his wife had friendships with different people.

“My wife has many male friends, and I also have many male and female friends,” he stated.

“I lost my marriage because of success”

The businessman maintained that infidelity was not the reason for the collapse of his marriage, insisting instead that his rising wealth and success changed his personal environment.

“I am really of the opinion that I lost my marriage because of my success. So I was a victim of my own success,” he said.

He explained that as his financial status grew, trust within his circle began to erode.

“As I was growing up, I was becoming very wealthy, like extremely wealthy, and then people around me began changing how they looked at me,” he said.

“External influence affected my marriage”

Mr Quaye further suggested that external influences and individuals in his inner circle contributed to the breakdown of the relationship.

“I think that he played a serious role in everything,” he said, referring to a close associate, though he declined to give details out of respect for his ex-wife.

He added that he still holds her in high regard.

“She’s a very good woman, and she’s one of the finest wives I could ever have for myself. I still have a lot of respect for her, maximum respect for her,” he said.

“I take full responsibility”

Despite pointing to outside influences, Mr Quaye said he accepts full responsibility for the marriage ending.

“I don’t blame Joana, it’s not her fault, it’s my fault. I’m somebody who believes in self-accountability,” he stated.

He explained that attempts were made to salvage the relationship through family intervention, but they were unsuccessful.

“Narrative doesn’t reflect reality”

Mr Quaye also argued that cheating allegations often surface in legal or public disputes, insisting they do not reflect the true cause of his marital breakdown.

“Whatever be the case, she will find something to say,” he remarked.

He maintained that the viral claims are inaccurate and reaffirmed that infidelity played no role in the end of his marriage.
