I Am the Most Experienced Candidate in the NPP First Vice Chairman Race – Nana B

New Patriotic Party (NPP) National First Vice Chairman aspirant Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, says he is the most experienced candidate in the race for the party’s First Vice Chairman position.
Speaking with Kwame Tanko on the Ghana Se Sen Show on Lawson TV/Radio, Nana B said his claim is based on his 26 years of active service within the NPP and his experience across various levels of the party.
He said he started serving the NPP at the age of 19 and has since held several positions, including National Youth Organiser and National Organiser. He has also served on key national structures of the party.
According to Nana B, he has spent eight years each as a member of the NPP’s National Steering Committee, National Executive Committee and National Council.
“None of my competitors has been a National Steering Committee member for eight years, National Executive Committee member and National Council member for eight years. I am very confident to say that I am the most experienced among my competitors,” he said.
Nana B said although he may be one of the younger candidates in the contest, his extensive involvement in the party’s structures gives him significant organisational experience.
“I may be the youngest, but I am the most experienced among my competitors. I understand the party structures. I stand tall,” he stated.
He also pledged to become what he described as an “all-round National First Vice Chairman”, supporting the various wings and structures of the party.
Nana B said his experience at the grassroots, regional and national levels has prepared him to contribute to the NPP’s reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general election.
The NPP has cleared 13 aspirants to contest the vice-chairperson positions in its 2026 national officers’ elections. Henry Nana Boakye is listed at number nine on the ballot paper.
