The Government of Ghana has confirmed a terrorist attack on a truck carrying Ghanaian tomato traders in northern Burkina Faso.
The traders were reportedly travelling through the town of Titao on Saturday, February 14, 2026, when their vehicle was ambushed by suspected terrorists.
Authorities say details surrounding the incident, including possible casualties or injuries, remain unconfirmed as investigations continue.
Embassy Engages Local Authorities
In response to the attack, Ghana’s diplomatic mission in Burkina Faso has begun working closely with local authorities to gather accurate information. Officials are planning a visit to the attack site to determine the identities and conditions of any Ghanaians affected.
