The President of the Republic of Gabon, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, will undertake a three-day official visit to Ghana from July 28 to 30, following an invitation from President John Dramani Mahama.
A formal statement from the Presidency confirmed that President Oligui Nguema will lead a high-powered delegation comprising cabinet ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from the Gabonese business sector to deepen ties between the two West and Central African nations.
The bilateral agenda begins on Monday, July 28, at Jubilee House in Accra, where Presidents Mahama and Oligui Nguema will hold restricted executive talks followed by expanded bilateral meetings.
Discussions will center on evaluating existing partnerships and exploring expanded collaboration across strategic sectors, including trade, mining, energy, agriculture, forestry, maritime transit, defense, and environmental protection.
“The official visit marks another watershed moment in the dynamic bilateral relations between Ghana and Gabon,” the Presidency noted in the statement.
The leaders are also slated to sign agreements aimed at accelerating mutual economic growth, enhancing regional security, and building stronger institutional and people-to-people exchanges between both countries.
