Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo Bamba, has been elected First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), marking a significant rise in his political career.

Kojo Bamba secured 3,116 votes at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to emerge as the party’s First Vice Chairman.

He defeated his contenders, including Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B), who polled 3,061 votes to become Second Vice Chairman, while Nana Akomea secured the Third Vice Chairman position with 2,981 votes.

Kojo Bamba is a former leader of the Delta Force, a vigilante group affiliated with the NPP that was active in the party’s political activities before the group was disbanded. Reports from the period identified him as a leader of the group in the Ashanti Region.

His emergence as First Vice Chairman places him in a key position within the NPP’s new national leadership structure, alongside newly elected Chairman John Boadu and other national executives.

John Boadu was elected National Chairman after securing 2,888 votes, defeating former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, who polled 2,048 votes, and former National Chairman Paul Afoko, who obtained 490 votes.
