The Ministry of Education has called on the public to assist security agencies in tracking down a teacher of Bole Senior High School who is alleged to have gone into hiding after a viral video surfaced showing him engaged in sexual misconduct with a student in the school’s science laboratory.

Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, speaking in an interview on Wednesday, June 24, said the Ministry is treating the matter as urgent and has activated processes to ensure swift accountability.

He indicated that the teacher is currently on the run, with security agencies actively pursuing him.

“Our checks indicate that the teacher has gone into hiding. We know that law enforcement is also playing its part, and he is being sought after. If Ghanaians can assist law enforcement to apprehend him, it would be very helpful,” he said.

Dr. Apaak added that the Ministry is committed to ensuring the teacher faces both legal consequences and full disciplinary action under the Ghana Education Service (GES).

He further assured that investigations are ongoing and that appropriate sanctions will be applied once the facts are fully established.

The Ghana Education Service has since interdicted the teacher as part of ongoing disciplinary procedures while police continue efforts to locate and arrest him.
