CSSPS Deploys More Personnel To Ease Delays At Resolution Centres
Education Ministry says additional staff have been deployed to centres experiencing long queues and delays in resolving parents’ placement concerns.

- CSSPS deploys more staff to ease long queues.
- Resolution centres operate 24 hours.
- Parents warned against paying for placement assistance.
The Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) has deployed additional personnel to selected resolution centres across the country to help reduce long queues and delays confronting parents seeking assistance with school placement issues.
The move follows growing concerns over the large number of parents visiting the centres to resolve challenges with the placement of their wards.
Speaking in an interview the Media Relations Officer at the Ministry of Education, Hashmin Mohammed, said the CSSPS coordinator, with support from ministry officials, had taken steps to strengthen staffing at centres struggling to attend to complainants promptly.
He explained that a decentralised system had also been introduced to make it easier for parents to have their concerns addressed.
According to him, the resolution centres operate 24 hours a day, with parents given tickets to enable them to track the progress of their complaints.
Mr Mohammed, however, noted that some challenges would remain due to the mismatch between available vacancies and the schools selected by students.
He said thousands of parents had so far had their concerns addressed, although he could not immediately provide the exact number.
Meanwhile, he has cautioned parents against paying money to individuals who claim they can fast-track their placement issues.
He said reports of people allegedly demanding money at some resolution centres had reached officials in the Ashanti Region, who had been instructed to take steps to prevent such practices.
Mr Mohammed stressed that parents are not required to pay any official or third party to access CSSPS placement services.
