The four astronauts aboard NASA’s historic Artemis II Mission have sent heartfelt messages to loved ones on Earth as they prepare for their return journey from the Moon.
The crew—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen—shared emotional shoutouts to family members and aspiring space explorers on Thursday.
Jeremy Hansen delivered a reflective message to his children, encouraging them to embrace effort over perfection and to find meaning in their daily lives.
He noted that people often place too much pressure on themselves, adding that even in space exploration, “it is far from perfection, but we are getting it done.”
Victor Glover also shared a deeply personal message for his children, expressing pride and support as they pursue their own dreams.
He said he and his wife look forward to transitioning from guiding them to simply cheering them on as they chase their ambitions.
The emotional exchanges highlight the human side of the mission as NASA prepares for the landmark return of the Artemis II crew after their pioneering journey around the Moon.
