Akuapem South MP Praises Mahama for Pothole Repairs, Urges Return to Kitase-Kwabenya Road

The Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. Lawrencia Dziwornu, has commended President John Dramani Mahama and the Department of Urban Roads for fixing potholes in major towns in the district, especially Aburi, the district capital.
However, she has made a passionate appeal to the President and the Minister for Roads and Highways to ensure the contractor working on the Kitase-Brekuso-Kwabenya road returns to site.
According to her, the road was named as one of the priority roads mentioned in the President’s first State of the Nation Address in 2025.
Hon. Dziwornu made the remarks on the sidelines of distributing exercise books and GH¢500.00 each to over one thousand fresh SHS students at Aburi.
She added that the Aburi to Adamrobe through Oyibi road is among the deplorable roads that need urgent attention.
She said she is of firm belief that as the President and the Roads Minister are turning the entire country into a construction zone, Akuapem South should also have its fair share.
