The chairmanship bid of Captain (Rtd.) Reuben Solomon Jabari in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has received a major boost, with nearly 100 delegates declaring their support for his candidature.
The delegates, drawn from eight polling stations across the Saviour, Adumasa and Afratia electoral areas, announced their support during a visit to Jabari’s residence on Sunday.

The delegation comprised representatives from two polling stations at Saviour, four at Adumasa and two at Afratia. Their visit was seen as a strong demonstration of confidence in Jabari, a former Chairman of the Island City Branch.
The group was led by Isaac Duah, popularly known as Prof., who serves as the Electoral Coordinator for the Saviour, Adumasa and Afratia electoral areas.
Why the Delegates Support Jabari
Speaking on behalf of the delegates, Duah said the group had carefully assessed Jabari’s vision, leadership style and interventions aimed at improving the welfare of party members before deciding to support his bid.
He highlighted Jabari’s “Fund Me Go” loan initiative, which is designed to create financial opportunities and provide support for NDC members, as one of the key factors behind their decision.
Duah also commended Jabari for his intervention in the rehabilitation of deteriorating roads within the electoral areas. According to him, Jabari responded promptly after the concerns were brought to his attention.
He described such interventions as unprecedented and said they had reinforced the delegates’ belief that Jabari was attentive to the concerns of grassroots party members.

Duah further said the delegates had been impressed by the energy, commitment and organisation of Team Jabari, which encouraged them to publicly associate themselves with his campaign.
“I Will Not Let You Down” — Jabari
In response, Captain (Rtd.) Reuben Solomon Jabari expressed gratitude to the delegates for their confidence and assured them that he would not disappoint them.
He pledged to remain accessible to party members, promising that his doors would remain open to them at all times.
Jabari also promised to prioritise the welfare of party members and ensure that those who dedicate their time, energy and resources to the NDC receive recognition and support.
Expressing confidence in his campaign, he told the delegates that he looked forward to celebrating a successful outcome with them.
He therefore appealed to them to maintain their support for his candidature and trust in his vision as he seeks to become Chairman of the NDC in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.
