Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum Urges NPP Candidates to Unite After Ashanti Regional Elections

Speaking in an interview with the Lawson Media team at Jubilee Park, where the election is taking place, Dr. Adutwum said the atmosphere at the venue was calm and expressed confidence that the NPP would emerge victorious from the exercise.
He stressed that the election should not be viewed as a contest between individuals but as an important step towards strengthening the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the NPP will work with whoever is elected to any of the regional executive positions, regardless of their individual affiliations or interests, to pursue the party’s collective goal of returning to power in 2028.
Dr. Adutwum also urged delegates to conduct themselves peacefully and remain united throughout the electoral process.
He advised successful candidates to be magnanimous in victory by reaching out to their opponents and working with them for the progress of the party.
He equally encouraged those who lose the elections not to feel discouraged, reminding them that their time will come and that there would be other opportunities to serve the party.
“The NPP will be victorious, not individuals,” Dr. Adutwum emphasized, urging all sides to put the party’s interest above personal ambitions.
The NPP Ashanti Regional elections are being held at Jubilee Park in Kumasi, with 1,022 delegates expected to vote across four polling stations.
The exercise forms part of the party’s nationwide regional executive elections, with security arrangements in place to ensure a peaceful and orderly process.
