NPP Regional Elections: Ashanti Region Ready for Polls as 1,022 Delegates Prepare to Elect Executives

The atmosphere is charged with anticipation at Jubilee Park in Kumasi as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares to elect its Ashanti Regional executives today.
The Ashanti Regional election forms part of the nationwide NPP regional elections, with delegates across the country heading to the polls to elect leaders who will steer the party’s affairs at the regional level.
In the Ashanti Region, 1,022 delegates are expected to participate in the exercise, with four polling stations designated for the election. More than 2,000 police officers have also been deployed as part of the security arrangements to ensure a smooth, peaceful and orderly process.
Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tanko on Thursday, a member of the election committee and Member of Parliament for Bosome Freho Constituency, Nana Asafo Adjei Ayeh, assured party members that the election would be conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe Constituency, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has arrived at Jubilee Park, where the Ashanti Regional election is being held.
The venue has been buzzing with activity as delegates, party supporters, candidates and their campaign teams gather ahead of the voting process.
With extensive security arrangements in place and delegates ready to cast their ballots, all eyes are now on Jubilee Park as the Ashanti Region joins other regions across Ghana to determine the NPP’s next regional leadership.
