The Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, has donated a brand-new 18-seater Mercedes-Benz Sprinter bus to the constituency.
The vehicle, valued at hundreds of thousands of Ghana cedis, was handed over to the constituency party executives on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Presenting the bus, Dr. Afriyie said the donation was intended to support party activities and promote the welfare of party members in the constituency.
He explained that the vehicle would provide logistical support for party programmes while helping strengthen engagement and a sense of belonging among members.
“The NPP is a family, but here at Effiduase-Asokore, we are more than a family. I know this vehicle will help improve the living conditions of the NPP fraternity,” he said.
The MP added that the donation was made as a result of his personal commitment to the party and its members.
“It is the will of God for me to present the vehicle today. On behalf of my family and with a good conscience, I present this vehicle to the elephant family here in my constituency,” he stated.
The constituency executives expressed their gratitude to Dr. Afriyie, describing the donation as timely and a significant boost to party organisation at the grassroots level.
Dr. Afriyie subsequently reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the welfare of party members and the broader needs of his constituents.
