Twins Allegedly Beat Man to Death Over Gold Panning in Boinzan
Two brothers allegedly attack a man over gold panning in Sefwi Boinzan; police launch manhunt for the suspect

Two twin brothers, Atta Kofi and Ebi Wom, both aged 28, have allegedly beaten a 33-year-old man to death at Sefwi Boinzan in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
The deceased, Theophilus Gyamfi, popularly known as Kwasi KK, was reportedly washing gold in a river within the community an activity reportedly frowned upon by local residents.
According to reports, one of the twins, who lives near the river, confronted Gyamfi and asked him to stop. When he refused, a heated argument ensued. The second twin then joined the confrontation, escalating it into a physical altercation. The twins allegedly severely assaulted Gyamfi, leaving him critically injured.
He was initially taken home for treatment, but his condition worsened. Family members rushed him to the Juaboso Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on the way.
The Assembly Member for Boinzan Electoral Area, Aha Kojo Vincent, confirmed the incident, adding that the suspects fled the community following the attack.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Juaboso Government Hospital mortuary, while the police have launched investigations and a manhunt to apprehend the suspects.
