Inferno Hits Oyoko Methodist SHS, Destroys Dormitory Block

A devastating fire has ravaged the House 3 boys’ dormitory block at Oyoko Methodist Senior High School (OMESS) in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region.
Firefighters from both the New Juaben North and South Municipal Fire Stations are currently on the scene, working tirelessly to bring the intense flames under control. Reinforcement has also arrived from the Regional Fire Command to aid in extinguishing the blaze.

While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, early reports indicate it may have started from the master’s bungalow—located within the same block as the dormitory—before quickly spreading to the student housing.
All belongings in the master’s residence have reportedly been reduced to ashes.
Thankfully, no casualties have been reported at this stage.
