At least seven Palestinians have been killed and 10 others injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to health officials.
The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said on Wednesday that seven bodies had been taken to hospitals during the period. Five of the victims were newly killed, while two others died from injuries sustained in earlier attacks.
The ministry added that several victims remained trapped under rubble or on roads, with ambulance and civil defence crews unable to reach them due to blocked access.
Separately, a Palestinian was killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting a tent sheltering displaced people in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to a medical source cited by Anadolu. The death was recorded separately from the ministry’s 24-hour casualty figures.
The latest casualties bring the reported death toll from Israeli violations of the ceasefire to 1,303, while 4,336 people have been wounded since the truce came into effect, according to the ministry.
Since Israel launched its military offensive in Gaza on October 7, 2023, at least 73,438 Palestinians have been killed and 174,447 wounded, the ministry reported.
The conflict has also caused widespread destruction across the territory. United Nations assessments indicate that about 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure has been damaged, with reconstruction estimated to cost around $70 billion.
Despite the ceasefire, residents continue to face deaths, displacement and severe humanitarian conditions, while rescue teams struggle to reach people trapped beneath the rubble.
