The announcement was made by the Chairman of the NPP Elections Committee, Frederick Opare Ansah, ahead of the balloting for the National Organiser position on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Salam Mustapha was among the candidates who had expressed interest in becoming the party’s next National Organiser. The election is scheduled to take place on October 3, 2026, as part of the NPP’s national executive elections.
His withdrawal leaves the remaining contenders, including former Member of Parliament for Tema East, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, to battle for the position.
