The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suame, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, has heaped praise on President John Dramani Mahama for what he describes as a remarkable turnaround in Ghana’s economic and governance landscape.
According to the MCE, the youth of Ghana are not just hopeful but “rejoicing” over the President’s performance.
Speaking during an interview on the Ghana Se Sen show on Lawson TV/Radio, Hon. Owusu Ansah—an appointee of President Mahama and a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)—expressed deep admiration for the President’s efforts, especially in stabilizing the economy and improving the Ghanaian currency.
“The youth are happy. It’s not even me saying it—the citizens themselves are surprised and excited by how well the President is working,” he said. “They are seeing real changes in their daily lives.”
The MCE pointed to recent gains in cedi appreciation and signs of economic stability as evidence of effective governance. He believes the President’s swift actions are restoring hope across the country.
“President Mahama has transformed Ghana in just a few months since taking office. The improvement is clear, and people can feel the difference,” Hon. Owusu Ansah noted.
His comments reflect growing support within NDC ranks for the President’s leadership and suggest a rising confidence in the administration’s ability to deliver on its promises.
At a time when public trust in leadership is often tested, the Suame MCE’s remarks underscore a renewed sense of optimism among the youth, many of whom are often the first to experience both the burdens and benefits of national policy decisions.
