Maame Frimpomaa Korankye (MFK) host of Lawson TV/FM Afisem Show has supported fresh students heading to Senior High School (SHS) with 50 mattresses and trunks, in a gesture aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents preparing their wards for school.
The donation forms part of MFK’s efforts to support students and families, particularly at a time when parents are faced with the rising cost of items required for their children to begin their SHS education.

Adding to the gesture, Maa Becky, wife of Dr. Lawson, also presented branded exercise books to the students through her Lawbeck Foundation, further supporting the beneficiaries with essential educational materials.
The initiative brought excitement and relief to both the students and their parents, who expressed their profound appreciation and gratitude to MFK and Maa Becky for the timely assistance.

Parents said the support would go a long way towards easing the financial pressure associated with preparing their children for SHS, while the beneficiaries were grateful for the mattresses, trunks and exercise books.

The beneficiaries and their parents subsequently expressed their happiness and thanksgiving, describing the gesture as a meaningful intervention that would help make the transition to SHS easier for the students.

The initiative underscores the importance of individuals and organisations supporting education and assisting families who may struggle to meet the numerous financial demands associated with sending their children to Senior High School.
