Priscilla Ofori, popularly known as Odo Broni, has donated approximately GH¢63,000 to support children receiving treatment at the Child Health Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The donation was made on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in memory of late highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, on what would have been his 62nd birthday.
According to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, the initiative was initially intended to support children born on September 29, Daddy Lumba’s birthday.
However, during the visit, Odo Broni and her team encountered critically ill children whose families needed financial assistance, prompting them to extend the gesture to selected patients.
Cash support was distributed to children receiving treatment at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Child Health Daycare Oncology Unit.

Odo Broni also visited the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where she met children receiving critical care.
The hospital said the total donation amounted to approximately GH¢63,000, with the amount given to each beneficiary determined by their individual needs.
The donation was received on behalf of the Child Health Department by its Administrator, Benjamin Nkansah, and Chief Nursing Officer, Evelyn Kumah.
The Child Health Department expressed appreciation to Odo Broni for choosing to honour Daddy Lumba’s memory by supporting children and families facing difficult moments during their healthcare journey.
