The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will hold its National Delegates Conference on Saturday, September 19, 2026, to elect its national officers.

The decision was taken by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and subsequently approved by the National Council during meetings held on June 25, 2026.

In a statement signed by the General Secretary on Tuesday, July 8, the party said the conference will be organised in accordance with Article 10(1) of the NPP Constitution.

Ahead of the conference, the General Secretary, in line with Article 19(2) of the party’s Constitution, has invited members and stakeholders to submit proposals for possible amendments to the party’s constitutional provisions.

The NPP said all proposed amendments should be submitted to the Office of the General Secretary at the party’s national headquarters or through the designated electronic platform.

The deadline for submission of proposals is Friday, July 17, 2026.

According to the party, the constitutional review process is intended to strengthen its structures, improve internal democratic practices, and promote effective governance.

The NPP has urged members and stakeholders to actively participate in the process by submitting proposals that will help improve the party’s constitutional framework.

The party further reaffirmed its commitment to constitutionalism, internal democracy, and the rule of law, assuring that all activities leading to the National Delegates Conference will be guided by its constitution and democratic traditions.
