MoMoFest 2026 Kicks Off in Berekum with Focus on Digital Finance and Safer MoMo Use
MoMoFest 2026 brings digital finance, cashless payments and fraud awareness to Berekum.
- Berekum launch: Festival runs September 4–5.
- Digital adoption: Promotes MoMo App and cashless payments.
- Safety first: Customers receive fraud prevention tips.
MobileMoney Fintech LTD (MMFL) is set to launch MoMoFest 2026 in Berekum on September 4, combining music, culture and community engagement to encourage customers to “Do More with MoMo.”
The two-day Revival Concert, scheduled for September 4 and 5 at Mixed Park, will feature Ghanaian musician Kweku Smoke and friends and mark the beginning of a three-week customer activation.

The initiative will focus on helping customers and merchants make greater use of the MoMo App and digital financial services, including payments, transfers, savings, insurance and credit. It will also promote safer digital transactions and awareness of common fraud risks.
Driving Digital Adoption
The Berekum activation will include pre-festival registration activities, customer experiences during the festival and post-event engagement designed to move users from awareness to confident adoption of the MoMo App and other digital services.
MoMoFest has developed into a nationwide platform for promoting digital inclusion, connecting with customers through concerts, traditional festivals, tertiary institution activations, merchant engagements and community events.
Through the Berekum programme, customers and businesses will have the opportunity to explore how MoMo can simplify everyday payments, support small businesses, improve access to financial services and reduce reliance on cash.
Safety at the Centre
Customer security will remain a key part of the activation. Participants will receive education on fraud prevention, PIN protection, transaction verification and official channels for reporting suspicious activities.
Head of Marketing at MobileMoney Fintech LTD, Alfred Dowuona-Hammond, said the campaign is designed to demonstrate the wider possibilities of MoMo while encouraging responsible use.
“Our goal is simple: to help every customer do more with MoMo, and do it safely. MoMoFest gives us a direct and engaging way to show customers how MoMo can support everyday payments, business transactions and access to more financial services, while helping them stay alert and protected.”
MoMoFest Expands Nationwide
Following the Berekum launch, MoMoFest will continue its customer engagement activities at major music and cultural events, including the Asogli Festival, ShattaFest, Rapperholic and Made in Tadi.
These platforms will be used to promote app education, cashless transactions, digital financial services and safe-use practices.
The 2026 edition of MoMoFest is supported by Ecobank Ghana PLC as Official Banking Partner, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) as Official Refreshment Partner, Ayo Ghana as Official Insurance Partner and MTN Business as Official Business Solutions Partner.
The initiative forms part of MMFL’s “Do More with MoMo” agenda, using entertainment, culture and commerce as avenues to increase digital financial inclusion, adoption and customer trust.
MMFL is inviting customers, merchants and festivalgoers to participate in MoMoFest 2026, download and explore the MoMo App, embrace digital payments and learn how to use MoMo services safely.
