Man Utd Selling Old Trafford Turf Cubes for £125

Manchester United are selling small pieces of turf from the historic Old Trafford pitch for £125 each, giving supporters an opportunity to own a piece of the club’s home ground.

The first batch of the turf cubes has already sold out.

The initiative was announced on the same day the club reported that its overall debt remains above £1 billion.

Despite the financial pressures, United recorded record revenue of £677.6 million and an operating profit of £22.6 million for the 2025-26 financial year. However, the club posted a pre-tax loss of £43 million.

Manchester United also confirmed that £63.5 million had been spent acquiring land for a proposed new stadium, which is expected to cost more than £2 billion.

A piece of Old Trafford history

For the first time in 14 years, the Old Trafford pitch was dug up during the summer and stripped back to its foundations.

Parts of the historic turf were preserved and cut into 7cm by 7cm pieces before being placed inside glass cubes.

Each cube is presented in a black case, allowing supporters to keep a small piece of the stadium where Manchester United have played since 1910.

The sale provides fans with a tangible memento of Old Trafford as the club moves towards plans for a new stadium.
