Thousands of members of Kristo Asafo, sympathisers and residents of Kumasi gathered at the Prempeh Assembly Hall for a thanksgiving service held in honour of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo.

The ceremony brought together church members, family, dignitaries and well-wishers from across the country to pay their final respects to the renowned religious leader.

Apostle Kwadwo Safo’s daughter, Adwoa Safo, joined her siblings and other relatives at the service as the family marked the final stage of his funeral rites.

Some Kristo Asafo members who spoke to Adom News commended Adwoa Safo and her siblings for organising what they described as a fitting farewell for their late father.

They particularly praised Adwoa Safo for her determination to see the funeral arrangements through despite challenges encountered along the way.

One member expressed gratitude for the successful conclusion of the funeral rites, saying the appearance of a rainbow in the sky during the ceremony was viewed by some attendees as a symbolic tribute to the late Apostle.

The thanksgiving service was held inside the Prempeh Assembly Hall, which was filled to capacity, while additional mourners and church members gathered outside the venue.

The final funeral rites for Apostle Kwadwo Safo began in Accra on July 30 and 31 before the thanksgiving service was held in Kumasi.

Security personnel were deployed at the venue to maintain peace and order, with the ceremony concluding successfully.
