Global pop star Justin Bieber made a highly anticipated return to the stage as a headline act at Coachella, treating fans to a performance rich in nostalgia and personal reflection.

The 32-year-old singer captivated the audience on Saturday night with a unique set that blended live vocals with visuals from his early career. Seated at times behind a laptop, Bieber revisited some of his biggest hits, including Baby and Never Say Never, while playing the original YouTube videos that first launched his career.

In a tribute to his beginnings, he also showcased childhood clips that gained him attention at just 12 years old, even interacting with live comments from the YouTube stream of his performance.

A Return After Hiatus

The show marked Bieber’s first major live performance in four years, following the cancellation of his Justice world tour due to health concerns.

He opened the set on a minimalist stage, performing songs from his 2025 albums Swag and Swag II, before taking fans on what he described as a journey through his musical evolution.

“How far back do you go?” he repeatedly asked the crowd as he transitioned into older material.

Blending Past and Present

The performance also featured a viral clip in which Bieber addressed a photographer, a moment that had previously sparked online discussions about his wellbeing.

Dressed casually in a hoodie and shorts, the stripped-down aesthetic placed focus on the music and visuals, creating an intimate connection with the audience.

Star-Studded Appearances

Bieber was joined on stage by several guest artists, including The Kid Laroi, Wizkid, Tems, and Dijon.

Among those spotted in the crowd were his wife Hailey Bieber, alongside Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.

Bieber’s performance was widely seen as both a celebration of his journey and a bold reintroduction, blending past and present in a way that resonated strongly with fans at one of the world’s biggest music festivals.
