Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa or Mama Pat, the former fetish priestess turned evangelist, is scheduled for release from prison on March 3, 2026, under Ghana’s standard remission policy.
Her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, confirmed the expected release in an exclusive interview with Citi News on Friday, February 27, noting that it is in accordance with normal prison regulations and not a special favor.
Under the remission scheme, a prison sentence is divided into three parts: eligible inmates serve two-thirds of their term, while the remaining one-third is remitted by the state. Nana Agradaa was sentenced to 12 months, which, after remission, results in eight months served.
Her sentence began retrospectively on July 3, 2025, the date of her conviction and sentencing, making her adjusted release date March 3, 2026.
Baffour emphasized that the remission policy applies to all qualifying inmates, and no special treatment was granted to his client.
