Driver Injured in Convoy Crash Involving NPP National Treasurer
A road accident near Buipe in the Savannah Region has left a driver injured and forced the NPP National Treasurer, Dr. Charles Dwamena

- The driver sustained injuries and is receiving treatment at the Central Gonja Government Hospital,
- The National Treasurer has suspended all remaining activities on his working visit until further notice following the incident
The Office of the National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Charles Dwamena, has suspended his ongoing working tour following a road accident in the Savannah Region.
The incident occurred on Friday, April 24, near Buipe, when the convoy transporting the National Treasurer was travelling from Tamale to Kintampo.
According to an official statement, Dr. Dwamena and members of his entourage escaped the crash without injuries. However, the driver of one of the vehicles sustained injuries and was quickly transported to the Central Gonja Government Hospital, where he is currently responding to treatment.
Following the accident, the National Treasurer has decided to suspend all remaining engagements on his itinerary.
The Office further stated that the working visit will remain on hold until further notice.
