Former Member of Parliament for Manhyia South and former Minister of Education and Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, is set to deliver a special public lecture at Coventry University in the United Kingdom.
The lecture, scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2026, will focus on the theme:
“Education, Energy and Sustainable Development: Preparing Future Leaders for Africa’s Transformation.”

Dr. Opoku Prempeh, who was the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice-Presidential Candidate in the 2024 general election, will be the Special Guest for the event.
He will be joined by Prof. Andrew Turner, Vice-Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) at Coventry University, and Prof. Jenna Ward, Dean of the university’s College of Business and Law.
The lecture is expected to explore the role of education, energy and sustainable development in shaping Africa’s future, with emphasis on preparing the next generation of leaders to drive the continent’s transformation.
