Bibiani MCE Assures Residents of Water Restoration Before End of Tenure

 The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Hon. Sebastian Obeng, has assured residents that efforts are underway to restore reliable water supply across the municipality before the end of his tenure.

Speaking during the Lawson Media Community Engagement in Bibiani, the MCE acknowledged the challenges residents have faced with the Ghana Water Company Limited’s supply network and assured that the situation would receive the needed attention.

According to Hon. Obeng, the Assembly inherited several challenges with the water distribution system, including areas where pipelines and networks were not functioning properly.

He said steps have already been taken to restore supply to some affected communities, including Adobewura and other areas.

He explained that the Assembly is aware of the network challenges and is working with relevant stakeholders to ensure that more communities regain access to regular water supply.

The MCE also acknowledged the support of the mining company operating in Bibiani, stating that the company has been contributing to efforts aimed at improving conditions in the municipality.

Touching on communication challenges, Hon. Obeng revealed that the Member of Parliament for the area has lobbied for MTN Ghana to establish infrastructure in the community to improve network connectivity.

He assured residents that the Assembly remains committed to addressing the various developmental challenges inherited, while working with stakeholders to improve essential services and infrastructure within the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality
