‘All Hands on Deck for 2028’ — Bawumia Charges New NPP Ashanti Executives

Former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged the newly elected Ashanti Regional executives of the party to prioritise unity and inclusion as they work towards the NPP’s return to power in the 2028 general elections.
Dr Bawumia made the call during a closed-door meeting with the new regional executives at his office in Accra.
The delegation was led by the newly elected Ashanti Regional Chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA.
The meeting formed part of Dr Bawumia’s engagements with newly elected regional executives following the party’s recent regional elections.
Call for Unity and Inclusion
Addressing the executives, Dr Bawumia stressed the need for the new regional leadership to work with all stakeholders, including those who contested but were unsuccessful in the regional elections.
He said broad participation would be critical to building a united party capable of reclaiming power in 2028.
“I reiterate my call for unity and the inclusion of all stakeholders, including those who were not elected, for the task ahead because 2028 will require all hands on deck,” Dr Bawumia said.
He described the party’s ongoing reorganisation, from the polling station and electoral area levels through to the constituency and regional structures, as an important step towards preparing the NPP for the next general elections.
Focus on 2028 Victory
Dr Bawumia emphasised that the ultimate objective of the reorganisation was to strengthen the party and secure victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections in 2028.
“The goal for all of us is to win the 2028 election. This is just a stepping stone towards winning 2028. We must unite, we must organise, and we must win in 2028,” he said.
He further assured the executives of his commitment to working with them and all members of the party to achieve the objective.
For his part, COKA and his team pledged their commitment to strengthening the NPP’s structures in the Ashanti Region and working towards victory in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Engagement with Regional Executives
Since the conclusion of the NPP’s regional elections, Dr Bawumia has engaged several newly elected regional executives as part of efforts to foster unity and strengthen collaboration within the party.
Among the regional teams he has met are executives from Greater Accra, Central, Western and Savannah regions.
