The re-election campaign of New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK), has received a significant boost in the Ahafo Region, with regional leaders and delegates rallying behind his bid for another term and describing his leadership as “an investment worth protecting.”
During JFK’s campaign tour of the region, delegates highlighted his accessibility, humility and consistent commitment to the needs of Ahafo throughout his first term. For many, these qualities have strengthened their confidence in his leadership and reinforced their desire to see him continue in office.

JFK and his campaign team were received into the region by former Chief Executive Officer of Venture Capital and former NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Asutifi South, Hon. Yaw Owusu Brempong, on behalf of Ahafo Regional Chairman, Mr. Robert Sarfo Mensah.
The tour drew strong participation from the regional leadership, including Prof. Emmanuel Marfo, First Regional Vice Chairman; Mr. Collins O. Mensah, Second Regional Vice Chairman; Mr. Justice Appiah Antwi, former First Regional Vice Chairman; Mr. Bawa Issifu, Regional Organiser; Mr. Asiedu Alfred, Regional Communications Officer; Mr. Mohammed Mutala, Regional Nasara Organiser; Mrs. Emelia Konadu, Regional Women’s Organiser; Ms. Adwoa Fosu, former Regional Women’s Organiser; and Mr. Eugene Boakye, Regional Treasurer.
Former parliamentary candidates Hon. Frank Aduse Poku and Hon. Kobi Amoah Mensah, alongside other party stalwarts, also joined the engagements, underscoring the broad support accompanying JFK’s campaign across the region.
In his remarks, Regional Chairman Robert Sarfo Mensah described JFK as “one of us”, emphasising the General Secretary’s readiness to respond whenever Ahafo calls.
He noted that JFK’s relationship with the region has extended beyond election periods, saying his accessibility and commitment throughout his first term have helped build a strong bond of trust with party members and delegates.
“JFK is not a visitor to Ahafo; he is one of us. Whenever Ahafo calls, he makes himself available. We have seen his leadership and commitment to this region. He is an investment, and we shall protect that investment.”
The Chairman’s declaration was warmly received by delegates, who reaffirmed their determination to retain JFK as General Secretary and give him the opportunity to consolidate the reforms, systems and structures pursued during his first term.
For JFK, the endorsement represents both a vote of confidence and a renewed responsibility to serve the party with humility, accessibility and purpose.
Responding to the show of support, he expressed appreciation to the regional leadership and delegates, pledging to remain focused on strengthening the party’s structures, deepening unity and working collaboratively with regions and constituencies to rebuild a formidable NPP ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Ahafo has made its position clear. For its delegates, the choice is about protecting proven leadership, sustaining progress and retaining a General Secretary who has demonstrated that leadership is not merely about holding office, but about being present when the party and its people call.
THE INVESTMENT MUST BE PROTECTED.
