Newly elected National Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has pledged to work with the party’s leadership to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.

Nana B expressed gratitude to delegates for electing him to the position at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference held in Kumasi.

In a statement issued on Sunday, October 4, he said his election was a promotion after serving the party as National Youth Organizer and National Organizer over the past eight years.

He pledged to join forces with the party’s leadership to campaign for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the 2028 elections.

“After serving our party as National Youth Organizer and National Organizer over the last eight years, I take promotion with great honour and pledge to join forces with our able leadership in ensuring that by the grace of God, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is elected President of the Republic of Ghana in the 2028 General elections,” he said.

Nana B said the NPP had a clear task ahead and would work towards presenting what he described as a formidable front in its bid to regain power from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He also congratulated the newly elected national officers and called for unity and collaboration as the party prepares for the next general election.

“To fellow elected officers, congratulations. Let’s work together to deliver power for the NPP,” he said.

Nana B was elected National Second Vice Chairman at the party’s National Delegates Conference in Kumasi on October 3, 2026.
