Police Arrest Three Suspects Over Alleged Kidnapping and Murder of 33-Year-Old Phone Dealer
The suspects were arrested after Police investigations into the disappearance and alleged murder of 33-year-old phone dealer Nana Yaw Kyere.

The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged kidnapping and murder of 33-year-old phone dealer Nana Yaw Kyere, who was reported missing on September 22, 2026.
The suspects have been identified as Philip Dzifa Kofi Tefe, Sarah Osei Adams and Josiah Obodai.
According to the Police, investigations by the Missing Persons Unit established that Nana Yaw Kyere left his residence at Kokomlemle in Accra on September 19 in his Honda Civic but did not return.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Sarah Osei Adams allegedly lured the victim to the residence of Philip Tefe at Teshie Agbleza.
The Police said the two suspects later confessed to their alleged involvement in the incident.
According to their accounts, Philip Tefe allegedly attacked Nana Yaw Kyere during a confrontation and struck him with a metallic object, leaving him injured.
The victim was allegedly moved to another room, where he was left unattended and later died.
Investigators further established that the victim’s body was allegedly transported in a Kia Morning vehicle to a location near the motorway on September 20.
The body was subsequently dumped in a bush and allegedly set ablaze.
The partially burnt remains were discovered at Community 18 on September 21.
The victim’s biological mother and an uncle later identified the remains at the Police Hospital morgue on September 24.
Phone Sold for GH¢100
The Police have also retrieved Nana Yaw Kyere’s iPhone 12, which Philip Tefe allegedly sold for GH¢100.
The buyer, identified as Sunday Omeje, has been cautioned and detained for allegedly receiving the phone dishonestly.
Further investigations led to the arrest of Josiah Obodai, who is being investigated over the alleged disposal of the victim’s body.
His father’s Kia Morning vehicle, which investigators believe was used to transport the body, has also been impounded.
The three suspects remain in Police custody and are expected to be put before the court as investigations continue.
The Police said efforts are underway to identify and arrest other persons who may have been involved in the incident.
